Project Coordinator

The Vacancy:

Here at Southern Ecological Solutions, part of the wider RSK Group we are recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join our team. 

You will carry out, but not limited to working alongside the project managers to provide essential support in delivering strategic projects. You will also work both independently and as part of the wider team, you will maintain a view of all aspects of a project. Responsible for organising resources, time and people in order to deliver specific projects, including the coordination of schedules, estimating and predicting budgets and preparing project reports.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all SES company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all project and client policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the coordination of planning and infrastructure works.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stake holders and clients to ensure project success.
  • Managing project plans and other key documents to ensure that projects can be monitored on a frequent basis.
  • Keep records of project costs in relation to budgetary requirements, highlighting any trends where appropriate.
  • Monitor project progress and report regularly to senior management and the wider project team.
  • Identifying and highlighting project risks and issues of concern that may arise in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Track monthly project operations with the assistance of the consultant team to manage budgets with variations to aid billing.
  • Ensure prompt valuations are issued to clients and payments are in line with valuations.
  • Assist in the collation of monthly payment applications with the Senior Management team.
  • Coordinate onsite staff, including issuing of task briefings and ensuring site paperwork and hours logs are kept up to date.
  • Have input and provide advice where appropriate on internal companywide projects such as new processes and systems and health and safety. 
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of industry changes, best practice guidelines, legislation and policy.
  • Understand and promote commerciality of SES including; reporting on monthly KPI’s.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential

  • Good knowledge of MS Office programs, in particular Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PM packages
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all at all levels
  • A pro-active and organised mindset with the ability to multi-task and prioritise a busy workload efficiently
  • Excellent time management, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to draft emails, documents and reports to a high standard
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong written and presentation skills
  • A flexible, collaborative work style with a desire to succeed
  • 2 years experience in a project coordination or project management related role

Desriable:

  • Experience of collating and issuing payment applications
  • Experience with document management and document management systems
  • Experience in the Ecology or Environmental sector.
